I’m a pretty big fan of The Features. I’ve seen them a few times now and they never seem to disappoint with a terrific live show. The Tennessee quartet rolled through Irving Plaza as direct support for fellow Southern rockers, The Whigs. The Whigs played the SXSW Spin day party at pne of the best places to see a show in Austin, Stubbs BBQ. Mainly because you can get yourself some brisket, hang out outside, and see a rock show at the same time. These guys sounded incredible! Such a big sound for a trio, and a drummer that hits like a bastard! Their album, Mission Control was one of my favorite records of last year and seeing them do it live re-affirmed it for me.
