The website North By Northwestern just recently ran a photo I took of The Cool Kids as part of their Weekender feature that let’s the people of Northwestern know about the events happening during the week.

Live hip-hop is a tricky game. If there are too many people on stage with mics in their hands it can get messy (see Wu-Tang Clan) but this wasn’t a factor in The Cool Kids set. Like many other artists this weekend, they too ran through a medley of Beastie Boys songs in honor of the Beastie’s having to pull outta the festival due to MCA’s recent cancer diagnosis.
