Philadelphia Grand Jury | Pianos, NYC | 7.8.2010

Aussie band Philadelphia Grand Jury stopped off in NYC for a few dates on their way to the land down under for a tour in support of their album Hope Is For Hopers. The band hasn’t spent much time here in the states only about 6 shows total. Lately they’ve been splitting their time mainly between Australia and the UK which they’ve called home for the last few months. The band consists of two Aussies in MC Bad Genius and Berkfinger and one dynamite Detroit drummer simply known as Calvin. Their set is high energy fun and a shitload of fun. City Riots | Pianos, NYC | 8.12.2009

Australia’s City Riots came through NYC. The band was recently in the US recording their album in Chicago and they happened to tour the states a bit in the process. Some friends invited me out to the show and always one to check out a new band, I hit up the show and ran off a few pictures. Red Collar | Pianos, NYC | 7.15.2009

Red Collar played the L.E.S. the other night. I’ve never seen them live and was pretty eager to check ‘em out, especially since their record Pilgrim has kept a pretty steady spot in the rotation since its release. I’ve been a fan of Nashville’s The Features for years now and got the chance to catch them live a few times and they never disappoint. They are currently on the road in support of their latest album, Some Kind Of Salvation and stopped by Piano’s last night. Since they haven’t toured much lately I was definitely not going to miss it. Hoots & Hellmouth | Pianos, NYC | 2.12.2009
